Founded by siblings — Alice M. Chen, CPA, and Danny Chen. Bookkeeping and tax are live. The rest opens when we can stand behind each one.
How we started
Alice and Danny have been building things together since they were kids. The lemonade stands and small family ventures usually started with too much ambition and, occasionally, ended when one of them decided it was time to go home and sleep. What carried through is the habit they shared — doing things properly, even when nobody was checking.
Nika CPA is what happened when that habit grew up. We’re a young firm. We work like we aren’t — CPA review on every deliverable, full paper trail, no shortcuts. Small enough to give every engagement real attention; patient enough to grow only as fast as the quality holds.

Rather than launching a full firm with stretched coverage, we’ve chosen to scale one department at a time. Each new service goes live only when our founding team can personally stand behind the quality. Today, two of our five planned departments are open to clients.

Meet the founders
Alice M. Chen, CPA
Alice is a licensed CPA in Ontario with more than 10 years of experience across public accounting and industry. As a tax strategist, she brings technical depth, professional judgment, and a careful review process to the firm’s work. Her background allows Nika CPA to support clients with the discipline and quality expected from a CPA-led practice.
Danny Chen
Danny brings experience in financial services, client management, and business operations. After several years working with clients in banking and account management, he understands how important it is for clients to feel informed, supported, and confident in the people managing their financial information. He is currently an MBA candidate, and has trained closely under Alice for years in preparation to build the firm together.

Nika CPA was designed to be modern, efficient, and highly intentional. Technology is central to how we operate — we’re a genuinely tech-literate team and we use professional accounting software to support our workflows. But the people behind that tech matter more.
Every engagement is guided by human judgment, structured review, and CPA oversight. Work is prepared, reviewed, refined, and approved through a disciplined internal process before it ever reaches a client — the kind of routine larger firms talk about but rarely deliver in practice.
Because our two departments operate under one firm, clients who use both don’t have to act as a bridge between bookkeepers and tax preparers. Records flow from one department to the next, with the same team carrying context forward.
